Our Panellists
Elizabeth Koleyak
Mckenzie Towne Panther Sports Medicine
A Physiotherapist for over 10 years, Elizabeth has primarily been working in the orthopedic realm, treating neuromusculoskeletal issues in the general public. In the past 4 years, her focus has shifted to include pelvic floor rehabilitation and women's health. She believes in looking at the entire person, not just the affected area; this has led her down the peri-menopause and menopause rabbit hole of research (or lack thereof) for which she is unbelievably thankful. She has always had a passion for oncology care and is on her way to becoming a Certified lymphatic therapist, including decongestive care.
Renee Simons
Owner & RMT, Connecta Health
Renee's passion for women’s health and functional movement began with her studies in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. In 2004, she graduated from the 3000-hour program at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Renee has devoted her career to helping women address pain, movement restrictions, and overall health challenges.
Her clinical focus includes advanced techniques like Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation, which allow her to uncover and resolve the root causes of pain and dysfunction. Renee takes a holistic approach, creating individualized treatments that support the body’s natural ability to heal while empowering women through every stage of life.
Renee’s work is fueled by her dedication to women’s health, with a particular emphasis on supporting women through the challenges of perimenopause, menopause, and other pivotal life transitions. She is passionate about improving the mind-body connection, fostering balance, and helping her clients reclaim their vitality and well-being.
Jen Rawson
Registered Provisional Psychologist & RD
Jen is a registered provisional psychologist and a registered dietitian. With years of experience, she recognizes that true health can’t be achieved by treating the body and mind in isolation; her practice focuses on integrating both in her approach to wellness. She has extensive clinical experience working with women facing disordered eating, body image challenges, gut health issues, anxiety, and all the ways these areas intersect.
Jen’s passion for working with perimenopausal and menopausal women began as she saw multiple women sharing similar stories of feeling out of control with changes in their body and mind, feeling stuck, and lacking appropriate support to turn to. Jen helps women ditch the diet mentality, feel more confident, and find peace in their bodies and minds as they navigate this phase of life.
